Concert 28th May 2011

nna Lehair, pianist

Concert Saturday,  28th May, 7.30 pm

Tony & Anita Catterick (horn & soprano), and Anna LeHair (piano, picture left), with Suzannah Hart (Clarinet) and Tina Gibbons (soprano) present popular classics, including music by Mozart, Humperdinck, Bizet, Delibes, Shostakovich and Cole Porter.

The Breakspear Trio and Friends

The Breakspear Trio comprising husband and wife Tony and Anita Catterick, with pianist Anna le Hair, have been performing together since 2007. Having explored the select but varied repertoire for Soprano, Horn and Piano, the Trio was joined in 2010 by Clarinettist Suzannah Hart, and Soprano Tina Gibbons giving greater scope and variety to their programmes.  They are delighted to have been invited to play in Trunch by Roy Abrams, with whom they have several long-standing connections.

Familiar numbers from the Opera, including Mozart’s ‘Parto, Parto’, and Voi Che Sapete, The Fair Maid of Perth by Bizet, Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel, and the Flower Duet from Delibes, will feature alongside music from Vivaldi, Shostakovich and Schubert to create a varied and entertaining programme.
